This workshop will concentrate on:
• discussing the origins and sources of mistakes including linguistic 'false friends', bad influences, fossilised errors and misapplied rules.
• identifying, analysing and correcting the most common mistakes made in Hong Kong and
• using traditional and contemporary tools to proofread and check grammar and vocabulary

Learning Outcomes:
Participants will finish the workshop with a better understanding of:
• why they make certain mistakes
• how they avoid making them
• how they can find errors in their own or other people's texts

Target Audience:
• Anyone who wishes to improve the grammatical and lexical precision and accuracy of their own writing
• People who would like a refresher in accuracy of their own grammar and vocabulary, and
