The China Committee has been promoting Hong Kong as the international bridge connecting Mainland China with the world. It is one of the most active committees in the Chamber, and is responsible for advising and assisting the Chamber in formulating policy, enhancing economic relations and strengthening trade. The committee keeps members up to date on the latest economic developments and new policies in Hong Kong and the Mainland that will impact their business, through organizing timely roundtable luncheons, seminars and study missions.


Hunan (Hong Kong) Modern Services Promotion Conference

On 17 April, Petrina Tam, Chairman of China Committee, attended the Hunan (Hong Kong) Modern Services Promotion Conference in Hong Kong which aims to deepen the cooperation between the Greater Bay Area and Hunan. Hong Kong is Hunan’s largest source of foreign direct investment and over 5,300 Hong Kong enterprises are investing in Hunan. He Baoxiang, Vice-Governor of Hunan Province, spoke on Hunan’s economic performance, its history and cultural heritage in the seminar.
