Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Cooperation Office at the Guangzhou Nansha Economic and Technological Development Zone Visited

Katherine Lei, Deputy Director General of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Cooperation Office at the Guangzhou Nansha Economic and Technological Development Zone, visited the Chamber on 15 January, and was received by Petrina Tam, Chairman of the China Committee. In 2019, Nansha had the fastest GDP growth of all the districts in Guangzhou, and it is also the only district in Guangzhou with a dedicated office to deal with Hong Kong and Macao cooperation. The delegation introduced the district’s latest developments in education, transportation, science and technology. Nansha plans to develop some more areas for Hong Kong companies to do businesses in the district, with over 20 square kilometres earmarked for this development.
