The China Committee has been promoting Hong Kong as the international bridge connecting Mainland China with the world. It is one of the most active committees in the Chamber, and is responsible for advising and assisting the Chamber in formulating policy, enhancing economic relations and strengthening trade. The committee keeps members up to date on the latest economic developments and new policies in Hong Kong and the Mainland that will impact their business, through organizing timely roundtable luncheons, seminars and study missions.

“Invest in China” roundtable meeting.

Hong Kong, a vital bridge linking the Chinese mainland with the global community, has long played a significant role in the nation’s efforts to attract foreign investment. In a continued push to strengthen ties with Hong Kong-based enterprises and multinational corporations operating in the city, Vice Minister of Commerce Ji Ling led a delegation to Hong Kong on 17 March to host the “Invest in China” roundtable meeting. The event was attended by several key figures, including Chamber Vice Chairman Jacob Kam, China Committee Chairman Felix Lee, China Committee Vice Chairman Edmond Yew, along with other members. During the meeting, representatives from various chambers of commerce shared their investment and operational experiences in the mainland, engaging in in-depth discussions and exchanging views on future opportunities.
