Lack of its management and supervision will lead to low work efficiency, incoordination and disunity between team members. Dr. Henry Shiu - Professional Generalist

Dr. Henry Shiu is one of the local most well-known business and management consultants with double doctorate: a Doctor of Letters/ Literature (D.Litt.) in Contemporary Management and a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA). He is a multi-professional with various professional qualifications, including Certified Corporate Trainer (Ministry of Labor & Social Security, PRC), Chartered Marketer (UK), Registered Social Worker (HKSAR), Estate Agent's Licence (Individual) (HKSAR), Senior Business Manager Certification (PRC), and also Qualified Management Consultant (UK). He possesses a Certificate of Professional Mediation Training, Diploma in Chinese Law (Foreign Businesses), Senior Award – Graduateship of the City & Guilds of London Institute (GCGI) in Management, Post-graduate Certificate in Management Studies (PgCert), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management Consultancy. He is a fellow of the College of Teachers (FCollT), Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM) and Chartered Management Institute (FCMI). He is also a Founding Member of the Institute of Leadership & Management (FInstLM), a Companion of the Institute of Management Specialists (CompIMS) and a Specialist in Business & Administration (UK).

Dr. Shiu has over 30 years’ solid experience in distinct fields (from social work to property) playing significant roles and senior management positions. He is currently working as a Professional Business and Management Consultant, mainly responsible for providing corporations with business and management advice, succession planning and guidance in family business, in-house training for senior/ business executives, executive/ personal/ life coaching, adventure training, etc. Dr. Shiu has been working as a part-time lecturer and a visiting professor for various local and overseas institutes and universities for over 23 years. During his leisure time, he is committed to different kinds of social and community services, such as taking up the roles of an External Verifier (Training/ Management) with City & Guilds and a Technical Advisor (Real Estate Agency/ Business) with the Employees Retraining Board (ERB). Dr. Shiu is a renowned writer and an ex-columnist of Ming Pao authoring a Management Series entitled《管理漫談》. He is often invited for interviews by the media to share his professional insights towards inter-personal intelligence and management practices in the workplace.

Notes - Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of payment, on a first come first served basis.
- Booking transfer is allowed for corporate members with advanced notice, walk-ins are normally not accepted.
- The Chamber reserves the right to decline any booking or cancel the event. In such case, a full refund of the participation fee will be issued.
- No refund will be made for last minute cancellations or no-shows. If the booking is cancelled at least 7 days before the event, and in such cases the refund will be subjected to a 10% administration fee, or HK$100 deduction, whichever is higher.
- Members paying with their BOC HKGCC Visa Card will enjoy a 30% discount on their reservation. The discount is only applicable to the card holder, and does not extend to their guests. The discount cannot be used in conjunction with Chamber Coupons.
