Zhuhai is one of the core cities in the Pearl River Delta and is also part of the Greater Bay Area (GBA). A special economic zone since 1980, Zhuhai was one of the first four zones to implement the Mainland's "opening up" policy.

In the "Framework for Development and Reform Planning for Pearl River Delta Region" released by the National Development and Reform Commission in 2008, Zhuhai was designated as the "core city of the Pearl River West." And with the opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, it will be the only city to connect Hong Kong and Macao by land. In the era of the GBA, what new policies and plans does Zhuhai have? Which industries will face new opportunities and challenges? And what is the business environment like in the city? The Chamber has invited three speakers to share with members the latest investment environment and policies in Zhuhai, from government, academic and business points-of-view.

Lu Xiaofeng is the deputy mayor of Zhuhai and former party secretary of the Zhuhai Economic Development Zone (Gaolan Port Economic Zone). Dr Wilson Chan is associate director of the MBA programme at City University of Hong Kong. He is also an adjunct professor at the University of International Business and Economics, and a member of the Mainland Opportunities Committee of the Hong Kong Financial Services Development Council. Jin Tao is an executive director of Zhuhai Holdings Investment Group and the executive deputy general manager of ZJ Holdings. He holds a master's degree in aircraft engineering from Northwestern Industrial University.
