Hong Kong National Security Legislation Corner

The secretary for security and heads of six disciplined services departments of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government on Tuesday welcomed and supported the passage of the law on safeguarding national security in the HKSAR.

港區國安法昨晚生效，行政長官林鄭月娥表示，今次國家層面就國家安全立法，有兩方面體驗，展現中央對一國兩制的堅持，以及改善一國兩制的決心，並對香港政府的高度信任。

Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor called on the international community on Tuesday to respect the national security law that Beijing had passed for the city, as the legislation was added to its mini-constitution, the Basic Law.

「香港國安法」通過在即，但具體條文仍是未知數。陸續有政府官員通過不同渠道表態支持國安法。政務司司長張建宗昨在個人網誌中表示，全力支持「香港國安法」，形容國安立法是鞏固「一國兩制」有效運作，確保香港長期繁榮穩定的良方，可以加強香港的實力和經濟競爭力。

政務司司長張建宗昨日指，經常提醒年輕人不可行差踏錯，走上歪路，否則將自毀前途，強調祖國是堅強後盾，要全力支持《港區國安法》。財政司司長陳茂波則表示，美國就國安法採取的所謂「制裁」，對香港的影響不大。

公務員事務局局長聶德權近日接受央視訪問時表示，設立國安法是國家對香港的愛護和關懷，相信有助確保社會的長遠繁榮穩定，同時讓「一國兩制」有更大發展空間。

香港投資推廣署署長傅仲森表示，曾與不少現有和潛在外來投資者詳細討論香港整體環境，當中包括港區國安法立法，大多數外商真心歡迎立法。

The Secretary for Education, Kevin Yeung says the national security law for Hong Kong will be introduced to student through the curriculum considering its importance to Hong Kong and the country.

行政長官林鄭月娥昨表示，中央今次由國家層面為香港維護國安立法是要堵塞國家安全漏洞，讓香港早日恢復安寧。
