This seminar aims to use very relevant and engaging examples to help the non-tech professionals to gain the foundational understanding of latest technology. The objectives of this seminar are:
1. To enable non-tech background staff to gain basic understanding the latest technology trends in Blockchain;
2. To let the participants to gain some basic hands-on experience to try and operate those technologies in a fun and experiential ways;
3. To be inspired by different examples and case studies on how other businesses in the world that use these technologies in manufacturing industries.

Learning Outcome:
• To understand the challenges faced by current trustless and centralized Internet architecture
• To learn the key concept of Blockchain by fun experiential learning in laymen terms
• To learn different use case in different industries/ discipline including Private Blockchains
• Consortium Blockchains, DAPPS, NFT, etc
• To apply Blockchain in the industry of participants

Andrew Ma, PhD, MBA, Director & Co-founder of Steam Building

Dr Ma has a strong desire to reconnect people in this age of technology. Coming from a high-tech background, he has extensive global management experience in diverse disciplines, including marketing, business development, strategic & product management, system engineering, and consultancy & training. In addition to his solid practical leadership experience, he is also recognized for outstanding academic achievements, including a Ph.D from School of Business and Leadership, with a research focused on cross-cultural & cross generational leadership, MBA; M.Sc. (Optical Communication); B.Sc. (Electrical Engineering); and BA (Economics).

Dr Ma is a frequent speaker at various chambers of commerce, community, and TEDx events. Andrew is a certified trainer for The Potential Project CBMT (Corporate Based Mindfulness Training), qualified and accredited administrator of the MBTI, master trainer for MRG, and experienced in EQ related teachings and trainings.

Notes - Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of payment, on a first come first served basis.
- Booking transfer is allowed for corporate members with advanced notice, walk-ins are normally not accepted.
- The Chamber reserves the right to decline any booking or cancel the event. In such case, a full refund of the participation fee will be issued.
- No refund will be made for last minute cancellations or no-shows. If the booking is cancelled at least 7 days before the event, and in such cases the refund will be subjected to a 10% administration fee, or HK$100 deduction, whichever is higher.
- Members paying with their BOC HKGCC Visa Card will enjoy a 30% discount on their reservation. The discount is only applicable to the card holder, and does not extend to their guests. The discount cannot be used in conjunction with Chamber Coupons.
- A $50 handling fee per person will be charged for all offline bookings (e.g. fax, e-mail, post) for all Chamber events. Go online today by downloading our app or registering on the HKGCC website to save the environment and money.
- Priority is given to corporate members. The decision to accept or decline any booking shall be at sole discretion of the Chamber.
- Participants agree to indemnify the Chamber and the hosting party all liabilities for property damage, physical injury or death in relation to this event. Participants are advised to take their own insurance against all risks.
