A Chamber delegation visited Ghana and Morocco in December to explore the potential opportunities in these rapidly developing nations. At this roundtable luncheon, delegates will share their impressions and findings from the trip.

In Ghana, members found a country that is vibrant, welcoming and modernizing fast, with a lively start-up scene. They also met with Vice President of Ghana Mahamudu Bawumia and Chinese Ambassador to Ghana Shi Ting Wang. With a impressive economic growth rate, pro-industry government and young workforce, Ghana is on the way to becoming the gateway to West Africa.

In Morocco, members visited 3 major cities - Rabat, Casablanca and Marrakesh - where they met with major local chambers, and also participated in business matching sessions with Moroccan companies. Benefiting from the recent visa exemption for Chinese tourists, tourism in Moroccoo is booming at an unprecedented rate. As an investment destination, it ranks second on EY's Africa Attractiveness Index.

This debriefing roundtable will help members learn more about the potential business opportunities in Ghana and Morocco, and the opportunities for Hong Kong businesses to explore these vibrant markets.
