The social insurance system and the housing provident fund system of China were established in the late 1990s. After some 20 years of development and revision, these systems have become quite mature and well-defined. Recently, the Chinese Government has cancelled the employment permit system for Hong Kong and Macao people, eliminating the barrier for people in Hong Kong and Macao to work in China. The "Notice on Implementing the Preferential Individual Income Tax Policy in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area" grants individual income tax exemption treatment for the subsidies of overseas companies, including those from Hong Kong and Macao, which directly benefits the employment of people in Hong Kong and Macao.

This online workshop will be conducted in Cantonese. Please refer to the Chinese version for details.
