What's On

To help members understand the latest developments in healthcare services in the Greater Bay Area, the China Committee will organize the “HKGCC Delegation to Shenzhen: Cross-Border Healthcare Experience” on 3 September. The delegation will visit Shenzhen to tour local health check and wellness facilities, engage with relevant institutions, and explore further opportunities for healthcare collaboration within the Greater Bay Area.

In recent years, Shenzhen has actively promoted the development of the “big health” industry, continuously enhancing its medical, elderly care, and wellness service systems. By integrating high-quality medical resources with diversified wellness models, the city offers residents and enterprises a broader range of health management options. This experience tour will include health check services for participants*, as well as visits to medical technology companies and Chinese medicine hospitals. Participants will gain first-hand insights into the facilities, processes, and distinctive features of local healthcare services, and better understand the latest trends in medical services and the wellness industry across the Greater Bay Area.

Hong Kong possesses a well-established healthcare system, internationally recognized professional service standards, and a robust regulatory framework. There is significant potential for collaboration with mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area in areas such as healthcare services, health management, the wellness industry, and professional exchange. Through this visit, the Chamber aims to further promote interaction between industry stakeholders in both regions, identify cross-boundary healthcare collaboration opportunities, and jointly advance the high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area’s health industry.
