Aruna Verma

Aruna Verma is an Associate Professor at The University of Law.  She is the Programme Director in Hong Kong.

Aruna holds an LLB Hons attending the College of Law in Guildford for the LPC.

She trained and qualified as a solicitor predominantly working in litigation.  She began teaching in 2008 as a visiting lecturer whilst she maintained her practise. She initially taught on the BVC (now BPC) before expanding her teaching into the LPC, GDL and MA Law. She teaches criminal litigation and ethics on the BPC, dispute resolution and advanced crime on the LPC, criminal law, contract law and ethics on the GDL and MA Law course.

Aruna has been a Fellow of the Higher Education Authority since 2016. She was recognised for her teaching excellence in 2019 where she was awarded MA Law lecturer of the year voted by the Student Association.

Aruna enjoys developing international activities and non-standard programmes such as summer schools.

Knut Fournier 

Knut is currently a senior tutor at The University of Law in Hong Kong, and he is also an in-house lawyer at StubHub, eBay's live events marketplace. Prior to moving to Hong Kong, Knut worked as a monitoring trustee for competition authorities in Europe, in the United States, in Brazil and in China. He is a US-qualified lawyer. He holds law degrees from the University of Paris and from King’s College London. He is currently the Chairman of the Hong Kong Competition Association.

Notes - Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of payment, on a first come first served basis.
- Booking transfer is allowed for corporate members with advanced notice, walk-ins are normally not accepted.
- The Chamber reserves the right to decline any booking or cancel the event. In such case, a full refund of the participation fee will be issued.
- No refund will be made for last minute cancellations or no-shows. If the booking is cancelled at least 3 days before the event, and in such cases the refund will be subjected to a 10% administration fee, or HK$100 deduction, whichever is higher.
- A $50 handling fee per person will be charged for all offline bookings (e.g. fax, e-mail, post) for all Chamber events. Go online today by downloading our app or registering on the HKGCC website to save the environment and money.
- Priority is given to corporate members. The decision to accept or decline any booking shall be at sole discretion of the Chamber.
