In the face of Sino-US Trade disputes, the global economic slowdown and the impact of local protest, Hong Kong SMEs are facing enormous challenges and pressures that ever encountered before.
The Government has all along been providing different types of support to SMEs through various Government departments and quasi-Government bodies in expanding their export markets, financing, and technology upgrading. The Government is also going to launch a series of measures to enhance the usage and effectiveness of the funding schemes and help SMEs tide over difficulties.
To help members further understand the various funding schemes and SME supporting services, the Chamber and the Trade and Industry Department (TID) will co-organize a seminar on November 21. TID will introduce the "four-in-one" integrated services of the SME Centres, including the "Support and Consultation Centre for SMEs" (SUCCESS) under TID, the "SME Centre" under the Hong Kong Trade Development Council "SME One" under the Hong Kong Productivity Council and "TecONE" under the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation. After the seminar, representatives of various organizations will provide on-site consultation for our members.
