China Committee's Greater Bay Area (GBA) missions are among the most popular activities for members that the Chamber recently organized. In the past year, the Committee has led various missions to the west coast of GBA, covering Zhaoqing, Zhongshan, Foshan, Zhuhai and Macau.
Different from the east coast, the west coast of GBA develops heavily on technology-intensive industries, while its industrial value-added accounts for one-third of the entire region. After 40 years of reform and opening-up, the west coast has achieved tremendous achievements. It is believed that the west coast has great economic development potential.
To learn more about the latest developments and business opportunities of the west coast of GBA, the China Committee is organizing a roundtable luncheon on 18 November. At the roundtable, our mission leaders China Committee Chairman Petrina Tam, GBA Working Group Convenor PC Yu, Director of Institute for China & Global Development at The University of Hong Kong Prof Zhigang Tao and representatives of Bureaus of Commerce from Zhaoqing, Zhongshan and Hengqin will share their analysis of the role of each city in the west coast of GBA and share what they have experienced in the Chamber's missions.
