In collaboration with the Hong Kong Public Relations Professionals' Association (PRPA), a series of three workshops is organized to enhance and refresh the knowledge and skills of PR and Corporate Communications practitioners through experience sharing.

* Participants who attended all three workshops will be awarded a "Certificate in Applied Corporate Communication" co-issued by HKGCC & PRPA.

Workshop 2: "Navigate the Changing Media Landscape" on 1 February
In the dynamic media landscape of the post-pandemic era, communication has undergone a transformative shift. This workshop aims at equipping PR professionals with essential skills to navigate the evolving media. Throughout the course, participants will explore effective communication strategies for delivering targeted messages to the right audience, at the right time, via the most appropriate channels.

A key feature of the workshop is the presentation of the 'Share for Good' campaign by New World Development, the Gold Award winner in the COVID-19 Response category at the 5th Hong Kong Public Relations Awards 2023. As a winning case study to demonstrate an effective media strategy for engaging with diverse stakeholders.

Roger Wong, Chief Assignment Editor, HK01 Co Ltd

With over 10 years of experience in the media industry specializing in financial news, Roger Wong is now the Chief Assignment Editor at HK01. Prior to HK01, he worked in Bloomberg Business/Chinese Edition, Quamnet, and Next Magazine.

Roger has assumed a teaching role at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong for financial news writing. Previously, his news works or edited works won the Business Journalism Awards of HSUHK and the Citi Journalistic Excellence Award.

Fiona Wan, Director - Corporate Communication, New World Development Co Ltd

In addition to her role at New World Development Co Ltd, Fiona Wan is the Director of “Share for Good”, Hong Kong's first large-scale, officially endorsed crowdfunding donation platform. This platform, under Fiona’s leadership, has evolved into an S88 NGO focusing on charity initiatives matching between NGOs and companies in the commercial sector. She is also the Director of “Culture for Tomorrow”, an organization that promotes the conservation of the historic State Theatre in Hong Kong and highlights its role as an essential presence in the city's cultural heritage.

Fiona has more than 20 years of experience in media and public relations. She served as an Administrative Officer in the Civil Service of the HKSAR before entering the commercial sector as a corporate communications professional. Fiona graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong's School of Journalism and Communications, and holds a Master's degree in Social Policy from Warwick University in the UK and a Master's Degree (Distinction) in International Public Affairs from the University of Hong Kong.

Notes - Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of payment, on a first come first served basis.
- Booking transfer is allowed for corporate members with advanced notice, walk-ins are normally not accepted.
- The Chamber reserves the right to decline any booking or cancel the event. In such case, a full refund of the participation fee will be issued.
- No refund will be made for last minute cancellations or no-shows. If the booking is cancelled at least 7 days before the event, and in such cases the refund will be subjected to a 10% administration fee, or HK$100 deduction, whichever is higher.
- A $50 handling fee per person will be charged for all offline bookings (e.g. fax, e-mail, post) for all Chamber events. Go online today by downloading our app or registering on the HKGCC website to save the environment and money.
- Priority is given to corporate members. The decision to accept or decline any booking shall be at sole discretion of the Chamber.
