Diplomacy involves working to create, preserve and deepen relationships between nations. And diplomats play an integral role in representing their country and in foreign policy.

Joining us on 17 May will be Foo Teow Lee, Consul General of the Singapore Consulate-General in Hong Kong. With a strong background in China and a wealth of experience in living and working in the country, CG Foo has been working on Singapore's China policies for the past 18 years. She will share with us her stories of her career path and what it has been like to work as a senior public and foreign policy professional.

CG Foo is a senior public and foreign policy professional with over 18 years of experience on China. Having lived and worked in China for over 10 years since the 1990s, she has a wealth of knowledge and experience on the diplomatic and political scenes in China. She has been working on Singapore’s China policies for the past 14 years with the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She has been serving as the Consul General for the Singapore Consulate General in Hong Kong since 2016. Prior to her current posting in Hong Kong, she worked as the Director-General in the Southeast Asia II Directorate and Dean of the MFA Diplomatic Academy in Singapore.

CG Foo holds an MA in Regional Studies in East Asia from Harvard University.

Notes - Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of payment, on a first come first served basis.
- Booking transfer is allowed for corporate members with advanced notice, walk-ins are normally not accepted.
- The Chamber reserves the right to decline any booking or cancel the event. In such case, a full refund of the participation fee will be issued.
- No refund will be made for last minute cancellations or no-shows. If the booking is cancelled at least 3 days before the event, and in such cases the refund will be subjected to a 10% administration fee, or HK$100 deduction, whichever is higher.
