Join us in extending a warm welcome to our distinguished new Chamber Chairman, Dr Jacob Kam, JP!

We are delighted to announce that Dr Jacob Kam, JP, the non-executive Chairman of MTR Corporation has been elected as the new Chairman of HKGCC during the highly anticipated Annual General Meeting held on 3 June 2026. As an accomplished executive and chartered engineer with over three decades of leadership in transit operations, international business, and engineering, Jacob will continue to lead the Chamber toward the future as we celebrate a historic milestone: our 165th anniversary.

Since joining the MTR Corporation in 1995, he has held numerous senior executive roles in the Operations, Projects and Chinese Mainland and International Business Units. With Jacob’s deep technical and management expertise, his new agenda focuses on three core pillars to shape Hong Kong's economic future: maximizing its unique position as a "Super Connector" and "Super Value-Adder" to bridge global and Chinese Mainland markets; aligning with national development strategies by driving GBA integration, supporting the Northern Metropolis, and strengthening public-private policy dialogues; and championing innovation through "AI+" integration to accelerate digital transformation and boost global competitiveness.

This will be a wonderful opportunity to extend a warm welcome to our esteemed new Chairman, while also reconnecting with familiar faces and greeting the many new members joining our community for the first time.

Notes	- Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of payment, on a first come first served basis. - Booking transfer is allowed for corporate members with advanced notice, walk-ins are normally not accepted. - The Chamber reserves the right to decline any booking or cancel the event. In such case, a full refund of the participation fee will be issued. - No refund will be made for last minute cancellations or no-shows. If the booking is cancelled at least 3 days before the event, and in such cases the refund will be subjected to a 10% administration fee, or HK$100 deduction, whichever is higher. - A $60 handling fee per person will be charged for all offline bookings (e.g. fax, e-mail, post) for all Chamber events.
