Women have been competing with men in the workplace at all levels, but for various reasons women encounter different challenges as they approach and/or surpass the much-discussed glass ceiling. Personal, family and life "trajectories" seem to go at different speeds depending on the stage of life, circumstances and commitments (personal, professional and family). And women, much more often than men, suffer in their professional and personal lives due to the lack of work flexiblility. They usually demand something more than a good job and a fancy title.
For the sake of their families and personal lives, women are questioning and challenging the existing value systems, and have started to promote the idea of a balanced work life. The Chamber's Women Executives Club is delighted to have Professor Nuria Chinchilla, a renowned professor specializes in women empowerment to share with members how women can balance their lives to "master their destiny" in the increasingly demanding workplace.
