Hong Kong’s talented students took centre stage as the Chamber wrapped up the Business School Partnership Programme 2024/25 with a vibrant closing ceremony on 4 July.
Established in 2001, the flagship initiative continues to bridge the gap between education and enterprise, reaching new milestones this year. More than 100 students, teachers and business representatives came together to celebrate a year of transformative learning and cross-industry collaboration.
The inclusion of students from Greater Bay Area institutions added a new dimension to the programme. In total, a record 78 secondary schools partnered with 48 member companies to deliver hands-on experiences, creating opportunities for cultural exchange and broader professional networks.
The closing ceremony also included a career-sharing session, where students participated in small-group discussions with Chamber mentors, followed by an awards presentation for outstanding student reports where three student groups delivered reflective presentations. Additionally, six student ambassadors from Diocesan Girls' School, Shen Wai International School (Shenzhen), and St. Francis' Canossian College took on pivotal roles as emcees and event helpers, ensuring the program ran smoothly.
Chamber CEO Patrick Yeung highlighted the programme’s dual impact.
“We are proud to see the positive growth and impact that the Business School Partnership Programme has had in expanding students’ understanding of business, while allowing companies to learn about students’ expectations,” he stated. “By connecting students with businesses, we inspire curiosity, build confidence and expand knowledge among future business leaders.”
Throughout the year, participants gained unprecedented access to Hong Kong’s business ecosystem through immersive company visits, interactive workshops and career talks. These experiences went beyond theoretical knowledge, offering practical insights into workplace cultures and industry trends across sectors.
The ceremony underscored the business community’s growing commitment to youth development, with many companies reporting how mentoring students provided fresh perspectives on emerging talent.
Thanks to all participating schools, corporate partners and mentors for their role in making the event such a success.
