Six students from top Hong Kong universities emerged victorious in the grand finale of HKGCC’s Pitch Perfect Programme on 30 May.
The winners, chosen from 140 participating students, received HK$8,000 and a one-year HKGCC Student Membership for their outstanding performances, with Mak Ho Yan from the University of Hong Kong crowned overall Champion.
Mak was also designated as the Chamber’s Student Ambassador, awarded an additional HK$10,000 and granted an exclusive opportunity to meet a prominent business leader for career mentorship and insights into the corporate world.
The judges praised the students’ creativity and professionalism, noting that the experience would serve as a valuable stepping stone for their future careers in the business sector.
Launched in March 2025 by the Chamber's Young Executives Club, the three-month programme progressed through four stages, attracting students from local universities and tertiary institutions. Participants attended training workshops, company visits and mentorship sessions to develop essential workplace skills. The semi-finals and finals featured simulated job interviews with representatives from corporate sponsors and Chamber leaders.
The programme was generously sponsored by seven companies – Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited; Ernst & Young; MTR Corporation Limited; Nan Fung Group and AIRSIDE; Shun Tak Holdings; Sino Group; and NEC Hong Kong Limited – with support from the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and HKGCC member companies who served as student mentors.
