The 24th Business-School Partnership Programme has officially commenced, marking another significant milestone in fostering connections between academia and industry.
This year, the programme proudly welcomes 49 companies and 78 schools, including four from the Greater Bay Area (GBA). The opening ceremony on 13 November brought together over 110 representatives from both sectors, setting the stage for an inspiring year ahead.
The core objective of the Business-School Partnership Programme is to bridge the gap between academia and the business world. The initiative offers students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in real-world business environments by pairing schools with companies. Students can look forward to a variety of engaging activities – including company visits, leadership talks, interview workshops and job shadowing – all designed to enrich students’ understanding of business operations and career pathways.
This year’s expansion into the GBA is particularly exciting, as it opens doors for exchange and collaboration between local businesses and secondary schools in Mainland China. The initiative broadens students’ horizons and fosters a greater understanding of the regional economy, preparing them for future careers in an increasingly interconnected world.
During the first meet-up, representatives engaged in discussions about the programme’s goals and the importance of experiential learning. The enthusiasm in the room was palpable; both educators and business leaders recognized the potential impact of these partnerships on students’ career choices, instilling confidence in the programme's effectiveness.
As the year unfolds, students can look forward to carefully curated activities to enhance their understanding of the business landscape and pursue their ambitions confidently.
Stay tuned for what promises to be a transformative year filled with opportunities for learning, networking and growth as students step confidently into the business world.
