A group of about 40 Chamber members went on an exclusive visit to the Court of Final Appeal in Central on 28 August.

Hon Mr. Justice Thomas Au, Justice of Appeal of the Court of Appeal of the High Court, discussed the importance of the rule of law in safeguarding the stability and prosperity of Hong Kong as an international financial hub. We also learned about the crucial role of a transparent, independent and impartial judicial system in upholding these principles.

The Court of Final Appeal is known for its Neoclassical architecture that reflects key milestones and features of Hong Kong’s judicial system throughout history, and members toured the court, exhibition gallery and library within the beautiful building. Special thanks to the Hon Mr. Justice Thomas Au and the Judiciary for their hospitality and Committee Chairman Nick Chan for leading the visit.
