It was an honour to welcome HKSAR Chief Executive John Lee to the Chamber on 4 September. During a private meeting hosted by Chairman Agnes Chan, the Chief Executive was presented with the Chamber’s submission for the 2024 Policy Address and engaged in exchanges with Chamber leadership on Hong Kong’s economic development and issues covering various sectors. 

Members of the General Committee and Chamber Council also shared highlights from the submission, the result of several months of collaboration with members and committees to develop a comprehensive set of proposals on revitalizing the economy, promoting growth and development, and improving people’s livelihood.

With the current economic landscape presenting numerous challenges, the primary focus should be rebuilding confidence and improving the business environment to ensure a stable future. The meeting with the Chief Executive underlined the Chamber’s dedication to advancing constructive dialogue and concrete action on Hong Kong’s economic growth.
