In collaboration with the Hong Kong Public Relations Professionals' Association (PRPA), a series of four workshops is being organized to enhance and refresh the knowledge and skills of Public Relations and Corporate Communications practitioners through experience sharing.

* Participants who attended all four workshops will be awarded a "Certificate in Applied Corporate Communication" co-issued by HKGCC & PRPA.

In light of escalating challenges stemming from increasing public expectations, social media influence, geopolitical shifts, and climate change, the demand for robust crisis management and communication capabilities within organizations has never been greater.

When a crisis strikes, it is vital for an organization to swiftly evaluate the situation, implement decisive measures to mitigate damage, maintain stakeholder confidence, and ensure business continuity. Furthermore, prompt communication with both internal and external stakeholders is of paramount importance.

Therefore, it is crucial for an organization to optimally prepare during periods of stability and brace for potential adversities. This workshop will delve into crisis prevention, crisis management, and post-crisis recovery, using real-world cases as learning tools. Participants will have the opportunity to develop response strategies and action plans through crisis simulations.

Learning outcomes:
After the workshop participants will be able to:
1. assess the vulnerability of an organization and take appropriate mitigation in order to reduce the risks;
2. develop crisis management and communication plan in anticipation of a crisis;
3. understand the key principles of crisis handling and able to take appropriate actions; and
4. manage the aftermath

Target audience:
1. Senior management of an organization who takes a leadership role in enhancing the capability of the organization
2. Public relations/ corporate communication head of an organization
3. Public relations/ corporate communication professionals with over five years of experience whose responsibility includes handling a contingent situation for an organization.

Mr. Kwan has over 30 years of solid experience in corporate communications, management, and people development. He has served in major corporations including Cathay Pacific Airways, New World First Bus, NWS Holdings, and Hang Lung Group. Mr. Kwan is a founding member of The Hong Kong Public Relations Professionals' Association (PRPA) and currently serves as a Professor of Practice (Corporate Communication) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Notes - Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of payment, on a first come first served basis.
- Booking transfer is allowed for corporate members with advanced notice, walk-ins are normally not accepted.
- The Chamber reserves the right to decline any booking or cancel the event. In such case, a full refund of the participation fee will be issued.
- No refund will be made for last minute cancellations or no-shows. If the booking is cancelled at least 7 days before the event, and in such cases the refund will be subjected to a 10% administration fee, or HK$100 deduction, whichever is higher.
- Members paying with their BOC HKGCC Visa Card will enjoy a 30% discount on their reservation. The discount is only applicable to the card holder, and does not extend to their guests. The discount cannot be used in conjunction with Chamber Coupons.
- A $50 handling fee per person will be charged for all offline bookings (e.g. fax, e-mail, post) for all Chamber events. Go online today by downloading our app or registering on the HKGCC website to save the environment and money.
- Priority is given to corporate members. The decision to accept or decline any booking shall be at sole discretion of the Chamber.
- Participants agree to indemnify the Chamber and the hosting party all liabilities for property damage, physical injury or death in relation to this event. Participants are advised to take their own insurance against all risks.
