The legal system of Mainland China belongs to the civil law system, while the legal system of Hong Kong SAR is based on English common law. These two legal systems are significantly different in terms of the basic concept and formation of contracts, conditions of its establishment and effectiveness, remedies for breach of contract, and execution of shareholder duties. There are also huge variations in burden of proof, forms of evidence, and methods of dispute resolution when handling economic contract disputes.
This workshop aims to help participants understand the concepts, principles and classifications of China's legal system, allowing them to handle the contract terms and legal procedures effectively. By joining this online workshop, participants will learn more about the China Contract Law; they will then be able to avoid contract disputes and know how to deal with contract disputes.
