What's On

In recent years, the Inland Revenue Department has been deploying more resources to conduct tax audits on SMEs.

Operators and owners of small businesses should not underestimate the impact that a tax audit may have on their companies especially when this means having to allocate valuable time and scarce resources in resolving tax disputes with the IRD. As such, it is important for taxpayers to equip themselves with a better understanding of the IRD's approach to tax audits so that proper and necessary actions are taken to ensure that tax audit cases can be resolved as quickly as practicable.

We are therefore pleased to have invited PwC's Karen Au, Angela Ho and Joyce Chak to address the following:

1.   The latest tax controversy landscape and difficulties faced by SMEs in Hong Kong
2.   Common triggers of tax audits
3.   Tactics in dealing with tax challenges posed by the IRD under such difficult times
4.   Practical ways to resolve tax disputes and conclude tax audits supplemented with case studies
