What's On

For many, the Internet of Things (IoT) is still very much an abstract concept. However, the technology is playing an increasingly important role across various industries. The ability for multiple devices to be connected to and communicate with each other, which is the essence of IoT, can generate potential value, create new capabilities, and open doors to endless opportunities. It is also regarded as an indispensable tool in smart city development.

In Hong Kong, IoT is no longer just a technology that exists in theory but take the form of practical applications. A real-life example of IoT in service is the intelligent RFID-embedded Baggage Loading Robotics for Automated Baggage Reconciliation, jointly developed by the Hong Kong International Airport and E-Business Solutions Limited (EBSL), a homegrown technology company offering a wide range of digital business solutions. The RFID-embedded baggage loading device has considerably improved the efficiency and accuracy of baggage loading for departure flights and was the winner of the "Technology of the Year – Internet of Things" category at the 18th Asia Pacific Information and Communications Technology Alliance Awards.

Join our webinar on 15 October when Mr Johnson Yim, Chief Executive Officer of EBSL, will share his insights on the potential of IoT and its real-life applications.
