What's On

Vietnam's economic reforms have transformed the country into one of the world's most dynamic and fastest growing emerging markets. ASEAN's rising superstar has seen remarkable development over the past 30 years, which has really taken off in the past few years, thanks to robust domestic demand, and increases in exports, manufacturing and foreign investment.

The country's stellar expansion in manufacturing output and growing well-educated labour force have drawn attention from investors and manufacturers looking to relocate their operations to mitigate risk of trade tariffs.

Rising disposable income among a young, educated and international savvy population is driving growth in domestic consumption. The retail sector saw a robust 6.9% growth in 2018, supported by buoyant private consumption and record tourist arrivals. With the median age of its 96 million population under 30, Vietnam's young consumer market offers immense opportunities .

To help members know the latest development trends in Vietnam, Consul General of Vietnam Tran Thanh Huan will give members a comprehensive overview of Vietnam and unique insight for investing in the county.

CEO of Golden Resources Development Anthony Lam, whose company has opened over 300 Circle K convenience stores around the country, will share his experience in navigating Vietnam's retail sector and supply chain scene.

Last but not least, CEO of HSBC (Vietnam) Hai Hong Pham, will give members an in-depth analysis on the investment flows into and out of Vietnam, and offer practical advice for members looking to do business in the country.
