Joseph holds overall responsibility for the operations of CLP's regulated business. This vertically integrated utility serves most of Hong Kong's population across Kowloon, the New Territories, and most outlying islands.
Before joining CLP in 2001, Mr. Law built a strong foundation in the banking industry. His extensive experience in the energy sector spans along finance, renewable energy development, fuel procurement, strategic planning, commercial development and operations. He was the Chief Operating Officer of CLP Power from 2021 and the Managing Director – China from 2022 to June 2023.
Beyond his executive role, Joseph is deeply involved in shaping Hong Kong’s future through various committee leadership positions, including Vice Chairman of the Real Estate and Infrastructure Committee, member of the Air Quality Objectives Review Working Group under the HKSAR Environment and Ecology Bureau, Chairman of the Finance Committee and School Council member for Beacon Hill School, and member of the Local Advisory Committee for HKUST's Division of Environment and Sustainability.
Joseph holds an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of British Columbia. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He is also recognized as an Adjunct Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and a Fellow of the Energy Institute. |
