HKGCC Mission to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

HKGCC will organize a business mission to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 16-19 November, 2025, offering members exclusive opportunities to engage with local businesses, government officials and industry experts. This mission aims to deliver valuable insights into Malaysia’s business landscape, investment opportunities and trade policies, and what they might mean for Hong Kong’s companies and economy.
As a key player in ASEAN, Malaysia offers a strategic gateway to a market of over 680 million people. Its stable economy, advance infrastructure, and transformation on high-value sectors has grounded the base for the country’s GDP growth at 5.1% in 2025. The New Industrial Master Plan 2030, with a view to moving the country’s manufacturing industry up the value chain, has provided immense opportunities for Hong Kong businesses to leverage our expertise as professional service nexus into this open market.
The Greater Kuala Lumpur area, covering 17 municipalities surrounding Kuala Lumper as the central economic area, covered over 40% of national GDP, is a leading commercial and financial centre. With developed infrastructure for digital technologies, the Malaysian e-commerce market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 8.5% between 2024 and 2028, reaching US$15.7 billion, is amongst the fastest-growing e-commerce markets in Southeast Asia. During this mission, delegates will also explore the e-commerce market in Malaysia, as well as the potential business opportunities it presents.

Kuala Lumpur to Hong Kong (Recommended Flight: CX 724, 17:50 – 22:00)
Participation
• This mission is exclusive for HKGCC corporate members. Each corporate member can send up to 2 delegates to join this mission.
• The participation for the mission is HK$6,800 (please note that the price may need to be adjusted based on hotel fees at the time of booking), inclusive of 3-nights hotel accommodation from 16 to 19 November, breakfast, lunch, local transport and guide, business matching meetings, and other related administrative expenses, but excludes air tickets to and from Hong Kong. Members should make their own flight arrangements after receiving confirmation of their participation from the Chamber.
• Full payment is required for booking. No place will be reserved without full payment. Participation fee is non-refundable unless the mission is cancelled by the organizer.
SME Export Marketing Fund
This mission will be reviewed by the Trade and Industry Department to determine eligibility for the SME Export Marketing Fund, whereby each successful applicant can receive a rebate of up to 50% of the total expenditure incurred by an applicant. However, members will need to apply for the rebates themselves.
