The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) is rapidly emerging as a vibrant hub with numerous growth opportunities. However, Hong Kong businesses face significant challenges in navigating the stark differences in commercial practices and regulatory environments between Hong Kong and Mainland China.

To succeed in this complex landscape, companies must develop a deep understanding of local policies and operational frameworks for effective strategic planning. Additionally, identifying and managing potential risks is crucial for ensuring stability during market entry. Adapting to the diverse consumer preferences in the GBA will further enhance a company's ability to thrive.

To aid Hong Kong enterprises in this transition, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Qianhai authorities offer services designed to simplify the market entry process, enhance competitiveness and facilitate successful expansion.

As part of this initiative, the Small and Medium Enterprises Committee will host a Greater Bay Area Business Expansion Experience Tour on 23 January 2025. This half-day trip will provide a unique opportunity for participants to gain firsthand insights into the available services, empowering them to leverage the region’s immense potential. After the tour, members will return to Hong Kong via the High-speed Rail from Shenzhen Futian, enjoying the convenience, speed and efficiency of the service.
