Measures to promote re-industrialisation in Hong Kong
Catalysing Re-industrialisation in Hong Kong

A lack of resources is often a key obstacle confronting Hong Kong manufacturers that want to upgrade their operations. Fortunately, there is no shortage of support from the Government and other public organizations to help businesses. At a Chamber webinar on 29 September, Rebecca Pun, Commissioner for Innovation and Technology, briefed members on an array of funding programmes and measures promoting re-industrialisation and innovation and technology development in Hong Kong, including the recently launched Re-industrialisation Funding Scheme which aimed at facilitating the setting up of smart production lines in Hong Kong. She was joined by Dr HL Yiu, Head of Re-industrialisation from the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, who spoke about the various initiatives administered by the Science Park to assist businesses develop smart manufacturing.
