Chamber Chairman Betty Yuen, CEO Patrick Yeung and Petrina Tam, GBA Working Group Convenor, attended the 2024 CCPIT spring festival reception and inauguration ceremony of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao GBA Development Business Roundtable on 26 February. HKGCC is a member of the Roundtable, which was jointly established by CCPIT Guangdong and the CCPIT Representative Office in Hong Kong and Macao.

General Committee member Emil Yu attended the 2024 GBA (Dongguan) Business Summit Forum and Exchange Seminar in Dongguan on 4 January. Hosted by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries and co-organized by the Chamber, the event’s theme was Hong Kong and Dongguan collaborating on technology and innovation development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). The Forum brought together political and business leaders, as well as representatives of enterprises in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao looking to explore new development opportunities in the GBA.

Edmond Yue, General Committee member and Convenor of the Belt and Road Working Group, represented the Chamber at the 2024 Ordos (Hong Kong and Macao) Investment Promotion Conference on 4 January. Du Huiliang, Mayor of Ordos, shared the latest development in the city's investment environment. During the meeting, eight projects were signed with a total agreement value of RMB 12.65 billion, across fields such as energy, international trade, securities investment, low-carbon economy, and urban development and operation.
