Delicious food is not only a delight for the senses but also an essential element of a successful event. From corporate events and grand openings to weddings and Christmas parties, La Casa Catering helps make each occasion feel special by delivering high-quality culinary experiences.

Established in 2016, the company is a trusted catering service provider for corporations, schools and private events across Hong Kong. It currently serves up more than 1,300 lunchboxes for students daily and manages catering services for over 700 corporate events and weddings annually. 

This is made possible by a team of chefs with over 20 years of expertise and diverse backgrounds, including former five-star hotel head chefs specializing in Western cuisine, experts in Chinese and home-style cooking, and pastry chefs specializing in healthy and vegetarian options. 

Another key is paying close attention to details. “We own two in-house central kitchens, which are supervised by a professional hygiene management team. This ensures food safety and freshness, enhances our quality control, and strengthens client confidence,” said Tom Hui, Founder and Executive Chef of La Casa Catering.

“What differentiates us from our competitors is our tailored approach to meeting our clients’ unique needs. Our bespoke solutions cover menu planning, food table presentation, on-site service and catering equipment rental, helping clients reduce the burden of event preparation,” he explained.

The company’s online ordering platform enables clients to conveniently place and manage orders, significantly streamlining the process and reducing the likelihood of human error. Collecting and analyzing customer feedback and order data provides the team with deeper insights into client preferences and emerging trends, enabling them to refine menu design and service offerings accordingly. Hui said the company would continue to invest in digital platforms and automation systems, including smart delivery and food tracking systems to enhance logistics efficiency and ensure food safety.

La Casa Catering is also committed to ESG practices that minimize food waste and collaborates with charitable organizations to donate surplus food to those in need. Additionally, it is gradually adopting biodegradable or reusable containers and utensils to reduce the use of disposable plastic products.

As market demands continue to evolve, the company believes that continuous learning and upskilling are key to maintaining competitiveness. Hui said the Chamber’s training programmes are particularly beneficial, providing the latest industry knowledge and market trends that help optimize business operations.

“The main reason we decided to join HKGCC is to expand our business network to reach a more diverse customer base and potential partners. We hope to leverage the Chamber’s platform to connect with peers and other professionals, share experiences and spark new ideas,” Hui said.

Expansion plans are also in the pipeline, including the extension of corporate meal solutions such as daily office meals, takeaway lunchboxes and healthy meal plans for staff. As more companies prioritize employee wellness and health, the company aims to offer a wider variety of options – such as vegetarian, low-carb and gluten-free meals – to cater to different corporate cultures and dietary needs.

The long-term aim is to expand La Casa Catering’s service model to markets beyond Hong Kong. Hui revealed that the company is considering establishing central kitchens or distribution hubs in Greater Bay Area cities like Shenzhen or Guangzhou to facilitate cross-border catering and corporate meal services. It is also looking to build partnerships with schools, businesses and event companies in the Mainland, with the goal of increasing reach and boosting regional growth.
