Sharing the Virtues of Kung Fu

When Grandmaster Au Yuet-sing earned a coveted 10th dan black belt ranking in Kung Fu in 1981, he decided to share his love of martial arts with youngsters by setting up Heng Yue Yen Long Kwon Martial Arts Association. He teaches Kung Fu to youngsters and adults from all backgrounds, blending classical and modern forms of the Chinese fighting style.

Connie Tse studied Kung Fu with Grandmaster Au from a very young age. She was inspired to share what she learnt with others and, more importantly, the virtues of Heng Yue Yen Long Kwon – perseverance, boundlessness, benevolence, righteousness and strength. She subsequently joined the association as an instructor to help spread the benefits of mastering this martial art form in our bustling city.

Connie has been an active member of the Chamber since March 2012. She feels the Chamber is a valuable platform for getting connected with people and staying updated about the latest business developments. She especially enjoys attending the Chamber’s networking events to mingle and network with members who come from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds. By sharing her passion for Kung Fu, she has been able to introduce the martial art to people from all walks of life.

Connie is also impressed with the Chamber’s activities and workshops, which provide information covering various sectors and parts of the world. The knowledge helps Connie keep abreast of the rapid changing business and social environment in Hong Kong.

With the goal of preserving and promoting Chinese heritage and virtues, Grandmaster Au and Connie intend to continue taking part in the Chamber’s activities and also give back to the community.
