Company Background

Ovolo Group is a proud Hong Kong business, independently owned and operated by Girish Jhunjhnuwala. Founded in 2002 with a block of serviced apartments on Arbuthnot Road, Hong Kong, the property transformed in 2010 to become the Group’s very first hotel, Ovolo Central. Another 3 hotels soon followed in Hong Kong, with the brand’s fun-loving effortless living ethos becoming the driving force for international expansion. In just under 10 years, Ovolo Group has acquired and developed six more hotels in Australia, across Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, and Melbourne, with another 2 under construction. The Ovolo Group also runs seven bars and restaurants which are paving the way as destinations themselves.

In 2017, Ovolo Group launched its latest hospitality concept for the modern global citizen, Mojo Nomad. The hotel allows guests to seamlessly engage in travel, work, and play all under one roof, with an emphasis on collaboration and the local experience. With no signs of slowing down, wherever there’s a destination ripe for change - Ovolo will stand!

The driving force behind Ovolo Group is Founder & CEO, Girish Jhunjhnuwala, an award-winning entrepreneur, hotelier, and visionary, who was the HM Awards APAC Hotelier of the Year 2018 and EY Entrepreneur of the Year China 2016, to name a few. Mr Jhunjhnuwala’s vision is to continue growth and prosperity across both Ovolo Hotels and Mojo Nomad internationally, while proudly representing Hong Kong on the global stage.
