Company Background

Swire Properties is one of the leading property developers in Hong Kong. Incorporated in 1972 to redevelop land formerly occupied by Taikoo Dockyard and Taikoo Sugar Refinery, the company established its reputation with the development of Taikoo Shing on the former Taikoo Dockyard site. Taikoo Shing was one of Hong Kong's first major private housing estates.

Swire Properties is now one of Hong Kong's most prominent landlords and owns and manages a completed investment portfolio totalling over 12 million square feet and a further 3.2 million square feet under or pending development. Swire Properties' strategy is to focus its developments on locations with direct access to major intersections on Hong Kong's Mass Transit Railway (MTR).
Swire Properties also has a portfolio of mainly residential developments for sale. Over 30,000 apartments in Hong Kong completed through subsidiary or jointly controlled companies have been sold to date.
