Company Background

CLP Power China Limited is a subsidiary of CLP Holdings Limited, the largest external independent power producer in Mainland China. CLP’s first entry into the China market dates back to 1979, when the company provided electricity to Guangdong Province to meet the developing needs of the local economy. Today, we focus on producing clean and low-carbon energy such as efficient coal, nuclear and renewables in Mainland China.

Business Activities

Our portfolio in Mainland China includes coal and nuclear power as well as renewable sources such as hydro, solar and wind. As of end of 2019, our investment in equity is close to 9,000MW, with operations in 15 provinces, cities and autonomous regions, including northern China (Beijing, Shandong, Hebei, Tianjin and Inner Mongolia), eastern China (Jiangsu and Shanghai), southern China (Guangdong, Guangxi), southwestern China (Guizhou, Yunnan and Sichuan), northeastern China (Jilin and Liaoning), and northwestern China (Gansu).
