For Immediate Release
The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) launched its fifth annual Business Case Competition on 16 October for tertiary students to offer innovative solutions to real-life business cases set by HKGCC member companies Chevalier Group, Chinachem Group, Jardine Matheson and Swire Group.
The objective of the Business Case Competition is to promote the exchange of ideas between students and businesses. It also encourages students to utilize the skills and knowledge acquired in class to develop the best solutions for the issues that businesses face today. Participating students will be challenged by a panel of industry-leading professionals, an experience rarely gained on campus.
The competition’s theme this year is “Achieving Success with Creativity,” giving students the opportunity to think outside the box and produce ideas that could help businesses move forward.
Since its launch, more than 3000 tertiary students and recent graduates have participated in the programme.
For over two decades, the Chamber has been bridging the gap between the business community, secondary schools and universities. The Business-School Partnership Programme, now in its 23rd year, provides a platform for thousands of secondary students to gain a deeper understanding of the commercial world. The Pitch Perfect Programme, now going into its third year, also provides many opportunities for university students to learn fundamental skills through training courses, mentorship and internships.
