Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) drew the lucky winners in the fifth round of its “Hong Kong We Can Do It! Lucky Draw.” A total of 1,003 prizes were won, worth over HK$5.2 million, including $1.6 million worth of MTR Annual Passes, $950,000 worth of Landmark shopping coupons, $416,000 worth of Emperor Cinema Movie Vouchers, fabulous staycation packages, in addition to hundreds of shopping and dining vouchers.
Dr Timothy Tong, CEO of AMTD Charity Foundation, which has sponsored 580 staycation packages, conducted the fifth lucky draw at noon today to generate the 1,003 winners, who will be sent an SMS message informing them that they have won. A full list of winning entries will be posted on the lucky draw website shortly.
Chamber CEO George Leung said the Chamber is proud to be part of city-wide efforts to boost Hong Kong’s vaccination rate, which has surpassed 8 million doses.
“Now just over 50% of the population is fully vaccinated, and we hope this will grow further so that family and loved ones are protected. This will also allow life to get back to normal all the sooner,” he said. “The Chamber still has two more rounds of lucky draws to go, offering 2,143 prizes, including two Mercedes Benz cars, two Cathay Pacific business class tickets to any destination, even more staycation packages, as well as shopping, dining and entertainment vouchers. So there are still plenty of opportunities for people to win.”
Over 6,700 prizes worth HK$43 million have been donated by Chamber members for the seven rounds of lucky draws on: 22 July, 5 August, 19 August, 2 September, 16 September, 23 September and 30 September.
