The Chamber successfully concluded the 2026 edition of its Pitch Perfect Programme, with six university students advancing to the final round held on 22 May. The finalists demonstrated strong analytical and communication skills, earning recognition as well as one-year HKGCC Student Membership and cash awards.
During the semi-final and final stages, students participated in simulated job interviews for a hypothetical Business Policy Trainee role. These sessions assessed their ability to analyse issues, articulate ideas clearly, and demonstrate an awareness of current social and economic developments.
Judging panel members praised the participants for their maturity, intellectual curiosity, and ability to engage thoughtfully with real-world issues. They also noted that the programme provided valuable exposure to workplace expectations, particularly in areas related to business and public affairs.
Each finalist was awarded a cash prize of HK$8,000 in recognition of their performance. The overall champion was named Chamber Student Ambassador, receiving an additional HK$10,000 and the opportunity to connect with a leading figure from the business sector.
Launched in March 2026 by HKGCC’s Young Executives Club, the three-month programme progressed through multiple stages and attracted over 160 students from local universities and tertiary institutions. Throughout the programme, participants engaged in workshops, mentorship sessions and company interactions designed to strengthen core competencies such as critical thinking, communication and collaboration.
The programme was made possible through the generous support of sponsoring companies, including Bank of China (Hong Kong), CLP Power Hong Kong Limited, DFI Retail Group, Ernst & Young, MTR Corporation and New World Development Company Limited. It also received support from the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau, as well as from HKGCC members who served as dedicated mentors throughout the journey.
