Zhang Yong, Vice Dean of the Alumni Association of the Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance (SAIF) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, visited the Chamber on 29 July. The delegation was warmly welcomed by China Committee Chairman Felix Lee and members.
Zhang discussed the institute’s alumni network and outlined plans for collaboration between Shanghai and Hong Kong, while expressing hope for deeper cooperation to develop versatile financial talent. Lee also highlighted Hong Kong’s advantages as a super-connector and a super-value-adder regarding global capital and innovation.

Wang Tonglin, Director of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, called on the Chamber on 13 August to explore collaboration between Zhejiang and Hong Kong.
Highlighting Zhejiang’s strengths in speciality and premium agriculture, Wang mentioned that the province offers over 1,000 types of locally grown products, including tea, edible fungi, fruit and Chinese medicinal herbs, many of which enjoy strong international recognition.
In addition to strengthening ties with Hong Kong, the Department aims to promote Zhejiang’s agricultural sector globally, with a particular focus on expanding the global presence of its high-end tea products.

Liang Wanrong, President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Ningxia Sub-council, led a delegation to the Chamber on 14 August to discuss potential business opportunities. The meeting also focused on supporting enterprises from Ningxia in accessing the international market.
Over a dozen of these enterprises, led by Liang, engaged in targeted matchmaking sessions during the Ningxia Specialty Products Supply Chain (Hong Kong) business-matching seminar held in Hong Kong. Several China Committee members attended the event, which was organized by the CCPIT Ningxia Sub-Council.

Lu Xiangyu, Deputy Director of the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Commerce, unveiled plans to promote Heilongjiang’s famous products in the Hong Kong market during a meeting with Chamber CEO Patrick Yeung on 14 August.
The two sides discussed leveraging Hong Kong’s position as a gateway to the GBA and enhancing collaboration within the agricultural industry chain between the two regions, from procuring products to coordinating supply chains and joint brand promotion.

Yang Shaowu, Deputy Mayor of Puer City, Yunnan Province, and Steve Wong, Chairman of the Environment & Sustainability Committee, held a meeting on 15 August to explore avenues for cooperation and supporting enterprises in Puer City to expand into international markets and identify new business opportunities.

Chamber CEO Patrick Yeung represented the Chamber at a meeting with the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on 6 August.

In his speech, Yeung emphasized the importance of accelerating the integration of innovation and industry chains in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to establish a global technology innovation centre. Yuan Baocheng, Vice Chairman of the Guangdong Provincial CPPCC, also attended the meeting.

Speaking at the annual event, Yu highlighted the importance of the collaborative development of the Dongguan-Hong Kong region. Businesses operating in Guangdong were also invited to share their experiences and challenges during the forum.
