Chamber Chairman Agnes Chan and CEO Patrick Yeung attended a roundtable meeting of business associations and enterprises in Hong Kong on 9 December. The event was hosted by the CCPIT.
During the forum, which included leaders of international chambers and foreign entrepreneurs, Chan discussed leveraging Hong Kong’s advantages as an international city to facilitate two-way interaction and development of Mainland and foreign firms.

China Committee Vice Chairman Neo Wang represented the Chamber at the Guangzhou-Hong Kong Business Association Exchange on 29 November.
During the meeting, Yu Jianchun, Chairman of the Guangzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce, presented the first National Industry Collaboration and Exchange seminar to enhance mutual collaboration and promote innovation development.

Chamber Chairman Agnes Chan attended a working meeting on the Beijing-Hong Kong Symposium on 10 December. She was joined by Cui Shuqiang, Deputy Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Party Leadership Group of Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPPCC.

Chamber Vice Chairman PC Yu and 14 members attended the second business conference on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area development on 11 December, organized by CCPIT in conjunction with the Hong Kong, Macau and Guangdong governments.
The following day, members undertook a field trip to Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone and Guangdong-Macao in-depth cooperation zone in Hengqin to explore the latest investment opportunities.

Dr. Fang Zhou, Research Director of the One Country Two Systems Research Centre in Hong Kong, presented the country’s latest developments and policy directions at the committee meeting on 13 December. This was followed by dinner at Wuliangyi restaurant in Causeway Bay.

Edmond Yew, China Committee Vice Chairman attended the Hong Kong Promotion Seminar for Quality Real Estate Projects in Guangzhou, organized by the Guangzhou Real Estate Association on 29 November. 

Nearly 30 real estate companies, including New World China, China Resources Land, and Vanke, participated in the seminar, covering 11 districts in Guangzhou, including Tianhe District, Panyu District and Nansha District.

Chairman Agnes Chan and China committee members were invited to the inauguration ceremony of the 54th board of directors of the Hong Kong Chiu Chow Chamber of Commerce on 2 December. 

 

Members joined the opening ceremony of the Belt and Road Business Association and Fujian-Hong Kong Business Association Cooperation and Development Forum in Fuzhou on 4-6 December.

China Committee members joined the ”Building Bridges” networking gala dinner in Shenzhen on 6 December, hosted by the Belgian Ambassador to China, Bruno Angelet.

The event was organized by CCPIT, HKGCC, The Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Hong Kong Industries.

During the session, Chan discussed how to enhance innovation and technology integration in the industrial chain and supply chain between Hong Kong and the Mainland, accelerating the development of new productivity. She said it was necessary to leverage Hong Kong’s advantages as an international city to promote bidirectional interactions and development between Mainland international enterprises. This included exploring directions for Hong Kong’s integration into GBA development and collaboration.

Ning Hongwen, Chairman of Hainan CCPIT, hosted the Hainan Free Trade Port Hong Kong Promotion Dinner on 11 December, attended by 14 China Committee members.

Ning provided a comprehensive introduction to the preferential policies of the Hainan Free Trade Port. He shared the current status and future development trends of the Hainan Free Trade Port. She invited entrepreneurs from Hong Kong and Macau to participate in its construction, collaborating on integrating the Hainan Free Trade Port with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.

 

China Committee members attended the Linyi Agricultural Product (Food) Enterprises Promotion Conference on 11 December. 

The conference organized by Linxi CCPIT acted as a bridge to promote high-quality agricultural products from Linyi, facilitating sales, connecting supply and demand, and fostering cultural exchanges with enterprises in the Greater Bay Area.
