Members of our Real Estate and Infrastructure Committee went on an exclusive tour of The Henderson, the city’s new and iconic 36-storey landmark, on 28 June.
Located on Murray Road, Central, the new 465,000-square-foot Grade-A office tower was designed by the world-renowned Zaha Hadid Architects to reinterpret the form and layering of a Bauhinia bud ready to blossom.
Members were fascinated to learn about the building’s smart and sustainable construction technologies, which promote low-carbon living. Featuring a high-tensile steel structure, The Henderson provides innovative offices with wide and column-free spaces. The highlight of the tour was the all-glass rooftop banquet hall, which offers panoramic views over Central and Admiralty.
Special thanks to REIC Vice Chairman Ball Wong for arranging the visit.
