The greatest challenge of the 21st century's leaders is to effectively assess and adjust the approach of maximizing staff potential. There are three crucial factors explaining why problem solving capability is so important for leaders, i.e. faster technological and market changes, higher competition and greater operational complexity. Therefore, building credibility, solving problem for business outcome, avoiding group think and reaching consensus become the competencies that are required for a leader.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to
• apply systematic approach in problem solving
• learn effective problem-solving and decision-making techniques in daily work

1. 6-step approach, i.e. identifying, analyzing, generating, planning, implementing & evaluating
2. Tools included criteria rating, fish-bone analysis, effort & impact analysis and 30-60-90 follow-up

Shirley has been in the human resources field for over 20 years. Her horizon stretches from hotels, financial institutions, property agencies, entertainment to construction, bearing the responsibility of developing and managing training roadmaps across regions and providing effective succession planning and talent management strategies. She received the Distinguished Trainer Award from the Hong Kong Management Association in 2007 and is an associate certified coach of International Coach Federation which is internationally recognized for providing professional coaching support for talent development.

Notes - Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of payment, on a first come first served basis.
- Booking transfer is allowed for corporate members with advanced notice, walk-ins are normally not accepted.
- The Chamber reserves the right to decline any booking or cancel the event. In such case, a full refund of the participation fee will be issued.
- No refund will be made for last minute cancellations or no-shows. If the booking is cancelled at least 7 days before the event, and in such cases the refund will be subjected to a 10% administration fee, or HK$100 deduction, whichever is higher.
- Members paying with their BOC HKGCC Visa Card will enjoy a 30% discount on their reservation. The discount is only applicable to the card holder, and does not extend to their guests. The discount cannot be used in conjunction with Chamber Coupons.
- A $50 handling fee per person will be charged for all offline bookings (e.g. fax, e-mail, post) for all Chamber events. Go online today by downloading our app or registering on the HKGCC website to save the environment and money.
- Priority is given to corporate members. The decision to accept or decline any booking shall be at sole discretion of the Chamber.
