Hong Kong’s tourism industry faces significant challenges, including evolving consumption patterns, shifting preferences among inbound visitors and increasing competition from neighbouring cities – factors that also impact the economy. In this context, the Development Blueprint for Hong Kong’s Tourism Industry 2.0, unveiled last December, offers a promising path forward.

Ambitious infrastructure projects, such as the three-runway system and the newly opened Kai Tak Sports Park, are set to attract an exciting range of mega events to Hong Kong. Additionally, the resumption of the multiple-entry individual visit scheme is expected to revitalize our economy, providing a much-needed boost to the F&B sector.

In his 2025-26 budget speech, the Financial Secretary emphasized the Government’s commitment to attracting high-end visitors from the Middle East and Southeast Asia. How can the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau enhance tourism-support facilities to facilitate this growth? While initiatives like panda tourism and horse racing have their appeal, what other innovative strategies can we implement to draw industry leaders from around the globe and showcase Hong Kong’s vibrancy?

Join us at the Chamber’s “Town Hall Forum Series” on 7 April, where Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism, The Honourable Rosanna Law, will outline the government’s plans to enrich travel experiences in Hong Kong. She will also discuss the bureau’s critical role in reinforcing Hong Kong’s status as an international tourism hub.

This is a unique opportunity to engage with the Secretary and share your insights directly. Limited spaces are available so reserve your seat today!
