Catherine Wong, Communication Trainer and Coach, Chorev Consulting International Ltd

Catherine Wong is a dynamic communication trainer and coach, with diverse experience working with clients from the financial services, chemical, professional services, property development, technology, media and transportation industries. Before becoming a trainer, she headed the Hong Kong office head of a global PR consultancy, where she gained extensive experience in media relations, issue management and crisis communication. In the past decade, she has worked closely with clients to handle different types of journalists and stakeholders in times of crisis, public skepticism, and concerns.

Catherine has coached and trained staff from middle managers to C-suite executives on leadership, communication, change management, and transition. She emphasizes the importance of mindset and behavioural change when working with her clients. Her clients include Amadeus, AsiaWorld-Expo, BlackRock, Cathay Pacific, Dow Corning, Dragages, HSBC, Prudential, Hong Kong Police College, Wyeth Nutrition and Shui On Land.

Amy Ip, Co-founder and Managing Director, Digital Innovation Research and Strategy Consulting Firm

Amy Ip is a female leader who has made a successful transition from a design career to venture building. She has worked for Yahoo!, Microsoft, and Tencent, and has implemented a Design Thinking-led approach in the research and development of products and services that disrupt traditional business models. Later, she shifted to consulting and spearheaded digital experience strategy programs at Fjord/Accenture Interactive for multinational corporations in various sectors in Greater China.

Amy currently serves as the Co-founder and Managing Director of a digital innovation research and strategy consulting firm. She is also the Co-founder of Second Stage, a venture builder focused on nurturing social enterprises that can function as scalable and sustainable businesses to create a positive impact on society.

One of Amy’s areas of expertise is social networking platforms. During her tenure as the Director of the Social Networking Design Center at Tencent, she designed gamification experiences for membership engagement, marketing campaigns, and community development using user research and data. In her presentation, she will discuss the design of social networking platforms from an insider's perspective, focusing on community building, VIP membership, and more. Understanding how rules of engagement shape user experiences and interactions is crucial in determining content visibility and user engagement strategies using data and AI.

Notes - Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of payment, on a first come first served basis.
- Booking transfer is allowed for corporate members with advanced notice, walk-ins are normally not accepted.
- The Chamber reserves the right to decline any booking or cancel the event. In such case, a full refund of the participation fee will be issued.
- No refund will be made for last minute cancellations or no-shows. If the booking is cancelled at least 7 days before the event, and in such cases the refund will be subjected to a 10% administration fee, or HK$100 deduction, whichever is higher.
- Members paying with their BOC HKGCC Visa Card will enjoy a 30% discount on their reservation. The discount is only applicable to the card holder, and does not extend to their guests. The discount cannot be used in conjunction with Chamber Coupons.
- A $50 handling fee per person will be charged for all offline bookings (e.g. fax, e-mail, post) for all Chamber events. Go online today by downloading our app or registering on the HKGCC website to save the environment and money.
- Priority is given to corporate members. The decision to accept or decline any booking shall be at sole discretion of the Chamber.
