What's On

Accusations of malpractice are the last thing that any company wants to encounter, but when faced with potential misfeasance, fraud, bribery and employee misconduct, the choice of approach to such issues could make or break a business.

This is where internal investigations play a significant part, as a powerful tool for maintaining corporate compliance that includes deciding from whether a reported incident warrants follow up to initiating formal legal procedures.

Join us on 5 August, where Desmond Yu and Iris Cheng – respectively Partner and Associate at MinterEllison LLP - will speak on the fundamental issues associated with internal investigations, including those relating to employment laws, secrecy / confidentiality requirements and legal professional privilege. The speakers will also discuss practical tips and common pitfalls in planning and conducting internal investigations, all distilled from their wealth of experience in this area.

Participants can choose to attend virtually or in person. For those who are interested to attend in-person, please note that seats are limited. In-person participants will also be required to wear masks throughout the course of the event. To align with government regulations to prevent the spread of COVID-19, no refreshments will be provided at the event.
