What's On

The Trump Administration’s dizzying tariff moves have profoundly reshaped the global trade landscape and essentially forced companies to question the reliability of the United States.

On 9 April, President Trump announced a 90-day pause on reciprocal tariffs for most countries, maintaining a 10% tariff on nearly all global imports while significantly increasing the tariffs on Chinese goods to 125%. However, the turning point came on 12 May, when the U.S. and China issued joint statement, initiating a 90-day pause on tariff hikes. Despite this unexpected progress, companies are aware that tariff switch could be switched on again.

The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC), in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham), European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham) and Mexican Chamber of Commerce (MexCham), will host a roundtable discussion to explore the implications of the trade war on the international business community. The discussion will also delve into how international businesses are addressing the current tariffs and policies, as well as plans to reduce their risks going forward.

Join us for this valuable discussion to gain a deeper understanding of the shifting trade dynamics to help steer your company forward.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and spaces are limited.
