Besides its flourishing tourism industry, however, the country thrives as a booming centre for innovation, technology, design and creativity, with more than 14,600 foreign firms having established presence there attracting a constantly increasing flow of businesses and investors.
Neighbouring Portugal also boasts a rich history and vibrant culinary scene with abundant business collaboration opportunities. It is also among the strongest growing economies in the European Union with a 1.9% growth rate, ahead of Spain (1.8%) and Belgium (1.5%).
