GAEA Global Wealth Steward for Well-being

Chavalit Frederick Tsao is the fourth-generation steward of TPC (Tsao Pao Chee), a family business with over 120 years of history, established in the late 1800s during the Qing dynasty. Born in Hong Kong, Chavalit completed his education at the University of Michigan and joined the family business at the age of 20. He was appointed Chairman at the age of 37. Chavalit advocates the belief that businesses should be purpose-led, beyond merely making a profit. This belief forms the core of his efforts to transform his family business with a new mission: “To Serve Well-being of Life and Create Wealth at the Same Time.”

Chavalit’s background and experience provide him with unique insights into global sustainability challenges. He has discovered that at the heart of sustainability lies the principle of oneness. Humanity's fundamental purpose, he believes, is to "Add Value to Life." His vision is of a new era of well-being, where businesses take the lead in building a global economy centred on well-being and happiness.

Chavalit has authored four books, including his latest, Impact Investing for Life Flourishing, a call to action for businesses to collaborate and invest their resources to positively influence the well-being of all life. He has commissioned research and published over 35 Chinese books.

Helene Li

Executive Director, Association for Well-being Economy

A firm believer in applying market-based solutions to fast-track social and environmental impact, and an advocate for sustainable finance, Helene is a management consultant by training and a seasoned finance industry professional with extensive experience in strategic planning and marketing roles at global financial institutions such as J.P. Morgan, Lombard Odier, and BNP Paribas.

Having worked in the ultra-high-net-worth space for most of her career, she is committed to leveraging the financial power and heart of the 1% to accelerate the impact in helping the 99%.

In this spirit, she co-founded GoImpact as an action-oriented ecosystem to unite stakeholders in boosting the “Impact” momentum.

Helene leads and curates industry-recognized, highly rated Next Generation Family Business programmes. She has been a regular contributor to Impact and Entrepreneurship research throughout her banking and consulting career.

- Booking transfer is allowed for corporate members with advanced notice, walk-ins are normally not accepted.
- The Chamber reserves the right to decline any booking or cancel the event. In such case, a full refund of the participation fee will be issued.
- Members paying with their BOC HKGCC Visa Card will enjoy a 30% discount on their reservation. The discount is only applicable to the card holder, and does not extend to their guests. The discount cannot be used in conjunction with Chamber Coupons.

- Priority is given to corporate members. The decision to accept or decline any booking shall be at sole discretion of the Chamber.
