Hong Kong is home to more than 12,000 restaurants and is well known as the world's "food paradise." Local residents and tourists alike enjoy the city's huge variety of cuisines and dining options, from dai pai dongs to Michelin-rated restaurants. Playing an important role in making sure that Hong Kong's cooks remain among the best in the world, the Chinese Culinary Institute (CCI) and International Culinary Institute (ICI) under the Vocational Training Council (VTC) offer training in the Eastern and Western culinary arts.

Graduates of CCI and ICI enjoy the benefits of practical training and academic achievement, and together, they create a strong pool of qualified talent to support the growth and sustainability of the hospitality and tourism sectors in Asia's World City and the region.

To learn about the training environment for hospitality talent, as well as the history of the development of vocational education in Hong Kong, the Manpower Committee and Vocational Training Council have jointly organized a visit to the Hotel & Tourism Institute (HTI), CCI and ICI, on 13 February at 14:30.

Tentative Programme:
13:45 Assemble at Admiralty
14:00 Coach departs from Admiralty
14:30- 16:30 Tour of Hotel & Tourism Institute (HTI), Chinese Culinary Institute (CCI) and International Culinary Institute (ICI)
16:45 Visit ends. The group will take the coach back to Kennedy Town and Admiralty MTR Stations

Notes - Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of payment, on a first come first served basis.
- Booking transfer is allowed for corporate members with advanced notice, walk-ins are normally not accepted.
- The Chamber reserves the right to decline any booking or cancel the event. In such case, a full refund of the participation fee will be issued.
- There will be no refund for cancellations or no-shows unless a request is made in writing at least three days before the event. In such cases the amount refunded will be subject to a 10% administration fee.
- A $50 handling fee per person will be charged for all offline bookings (e.g. fax, e-mail, post) for all Chamber events. Go online today by downloading our app or registering on the HKGCC website to save the environment and money.
- Priority is given to corporate members. The decision to accept or decline any booking shall be at sole discretion of the Chamber.
- A participation fee of $310 per person will be charged to cover the transportation and administrative costs incurred by the Chamber.

- The visit is exclusively for HKGCC members only.
- Substitution is allowed for corporate members only with advanced notice, while walk-ins will normally not be accepted.
- Bookings are available on a first come, first served basis and will only be confirmed after full payment.
- As seats are limited, each member company can nominate at most two representatives to the visit. Additional places will be subject to approval by the organizer.
- Participants agree to indemnify the Chamber and co-organisers from all liabilities for property damage, personal injury or death to themselves or any third party as a result of participating in the event. Participants are advised to take out their own insurance against all risks.
